Overview

The Metropolitan Organization to Counter Sexual Assault (MOCSA) is the region’s independent rape crisis and child sexual abuse center, providing advocacy services, counseling, legal assistance, community education, and prevention programming throughout the greater Kansas City metropolitan area.

MOCSA engaged MIKA Project Partners to serve as Owner’s Representative for the adaptive reuse of a former data center into a welcoming, mission-driven facility that supports healing, privacy, and community connection. Thoughtful planning prioritizes confidentiality, intuitive circulation, and warm, calming spaces that support both clients and staff, while allowing flexibility for future growth.

As Owner’s Representative, MIKA Project Partners supported MOCSA providing leadership to ensure the project aligned with MOCSA’s mission, funding requirements, and long-term vision.
