Overview

MIKA Project Partners served as part of the collaborative team acting as the Owner’s Representative for the new Lenexa Justice Center. The project, recently completed , includes two buildings designed to support the city’s law enforcement and municipal operations.

The facility houses Lenexa’s Police Headquarters with offices, evidence processing, staff support, and training areas, as well as IT, communications, vehicle storage, and a firing range. In addition, the buildings provide municipal court facilities and other public spaces.

The project originated from a 2020 facility study, which recommended constructing a new center on an undeveloped site to avoid disrupting public safety operations and to reduce costs by 8–10% compared with a phased renovation of the existing complex.
