Overview

MIKA Project Partners served as Owner’s Representative for the new Tonganoxie Public Library, a 10,000-square-foot facility that nearly doubles the size of the library’s previous building. Opened in March 2020, the new facility was designed to better serve the evolving needs of the community while creating a welcoming and flexible environment for users of all ages.

The library features expanded circulation space, three collaboration rooms, a state-of-the-art community room, adult lounge and teen gaming areas, a coffee café, two outdoor patios, a fireplace, and a self-check system. Enhanced technology is integrated throughout the facility, supporting both traditional library services and modern community programming.
