Overview

MIKA Project Partners recently completed managing the transformative renovation of the Kopje section within the Africa exhibit. This project focused on enhancing the overall visitor experience while improving accessibility and functionality throughout a highly active area of the Zoo.

Mika Project Partners provided comprehensive oversight for the creation of new and improved animal viewing areas, the installation of ADA-compliant concrete walking paths, and the development of fully ADA-accessible restroom facilities. These upgrades support greater inclusivity while strengthening guest engagement within the Africa exhibit.

A key component of Mika Project Partners’ role was developing and implementing creative phasing and access strategies that maintained uninterrupted visitor circulation to surrounding exhibit areas throughout construction. This approach ensured a seamless guest experience while minimizing disruption to daily Zoo operations.
