MIKA Project Partners is serving as Owner’s Representative for the new giraffe complex, a transformative expansion within the Zoo’s Africa section. This major upgrade will provide a significantly larger, year-round indoor and outdoor habitat designed to enhance animal welfare while creating immersive, all-weather experiences for guests.

The habitat allows guests to view giraffes with climate-controlled indoor viewing areas eliminating weather limitations. Visitors will also have the opportunity to engage in hand-feeding experiences from both indoor and outdoor feeding stations. Expanded spaces, natural substrates, and improved habitat design support the health and well-being of the animals while reinforcing a sense of authenticity and naturalism.
