Charlotte Street Foundation
Adaptive Reuse | Kansas City, MO
Overview
For more than 20 years, the Charlotte Street Foundation has supported individual artists by championing exceptional creative vision and fostering an environment where artists and art can thrive. Through its commitment to supporting, challenging, and empowering artists, the Foundation plays a vital role in strengthening Kansas City’s creative community.
MIKA Project Partners was engaged to serve as Owner’s Representative for the Foundation’s multi-million dollar adaptive reuse project. The project involves the renovation and build-out of approximately 22,000 square feet across two existing buildings transforming the space into a dynamic, multidisciplinary arts campus.
The renovated facilities include a White Box studio and gallery, a Black Box theater, artist residency spaces, and offices and features an outdoor courtyard designed to support performances, exhibitions, and community gatherings.
